Unboxing: Memebox City Girl Superbox

Real talk: I did not get this Memebox City Girl Superbox because I really wanted it. I got it for 2 reasons. One was so that my While You Were Sleeping box can be shipped express and the other was that I wanted to compare it with Peach and Lily's Seoulcialite box. Box bundles are always shipped express and Memebox's City Girl box description said it contains products Seoulites rave about the most, which sounded a lot like the Peach and Lily box.
Memebox

Memebox is a beauty box company that sells Korean beauty boxes and products around the world. This Memebox cost about $29 (including shipping) and Peach and Lily's Seoulcialite box cost $49, out of the 2 boxes, I liked the Peach and Lily's more. Let's dig into this box so I can explain why.

Memebox City Girl Superbox

The City Girl Superbox came with 5 full size products, totaling about $120. While the value is good, the products are not all up to par. Compared to the Seoulcialite box, this superbox is a step down. The Seoulcialite box came with 6 full size products, 1 travel set and 1 extra gift; totaling over $150. It's not always about the money but rather the quality and usefulness of the product. That saying applies here. I find the products in the Seoulcialite box interest me more and are more useful to me than the City Girl Superbox.

Migabee Verena Cream
Migabee Verbena Cream
50ml, $29

A nourishing night cream and a daily moisturizer in one, this cream promises supple and smooth complexion. Formulated with a blend of shea butter and natural moisturizing factors, to improve skin elasticity. It will also strengthen skin's innate ability to protect itself from external environment.

I've heard a lot of great things about this brand, although I've never tried anything from them. It's got a floral scent that isn't too strong. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet, but I will when I'm done with my current moisturizer.
Shara Shara Dew Veil Primer Balm

Shara Shara Dew Veil Primer Balm
25g, $13

A primer balm formulated with avocado oil to neutralize skin tones. It can soothe dry patches and create a smooth canvas on the skin for makeup application.

This blue and this yellow and this packaging should never be paired together. It just doesn't look good. I've heard a lot of negatives on Shara Shara products, which made me cautious, since I've never tried this brand before. After the sleeping mask fiasco, I always put a product's ingredients into CosDNA before I try it. So, after typing out the ingredients into CosDNA I found some alarming results. It's got a level 5 potential acne trigger ingredient which is a major no-no for my acne prone skin. To make matters worse it's also got a couple of minor acne triggers as well. I definitely won't be using this.
Migabee Pure Berry Oil Soap Honey

Migabee Pure Berry Oil Soap Honey
310ml, $29

This all in one multi cleanser can be used for hair, body and face. It's formulated with saponin complex, which helps the product to create a soft and creamy foam. The honey blend includes bee venom, honey, propolis, and acai extracts. It will work to strengthen the skin's firmness and balance out uneven skin tone and texture. To use, simply lather the oil cleanser enough to cream foam, than massage into face or body or hair and rinse after.

This bottle is huge. It's got an interesting concept of oil to foam, however, I don't think I will be trying this product. This product contains Lauric acid, which is a level 4 potential acne trigger. Since I have acne prone skin, this is a no-no for me.
Original Raw Multi-Pigment - I am Designer

Original Raw Multi-Pigment - I am Designer
10g x 3ea, $42, Star Orange, Star Beige, Star Pink

This set includes 3 multi pigments that can be used to create a beautiful flush, a pretty pout, and glamours eyes. The 3 pigments are creamy in texture and are blend-able. It's streak-free stain is formulated with amethyst, sunflower seed oil, pearl powder, and ruby powder.

I was confused about this at first, then I remembered seeing something similar from a different brand. These are pigments you can mix together to create the ideal color for the face. The pink can be used as blush alone or it can be mixed with the orange to create a coral blush. The beige can be used as an eye primer or mix it with the pink for a light beige pink blush. I wouldn't recommend putting this on the lips though. Essentially this is a 'create your own blush color' kit.
Mizon Oh! Shy Gorgeous On Liquid Cheek
Mizon Oh! Shy Gorgeous On Liquid Cheek
8ml, $16

A 2 in 1 blush and lip product. The liquid glides on easily and can be wore alone or mixed with BB/CC cream to create a peachy, dewy look. The shade is peachy coral, which is flattering on just about any skin tone. Apply it as blush or lip stain alone or it can be mixed with a BB/CC cream or shimmering booster, 1:2 ratio, to create a peachy, dewy look.

I've got a lot of blushes these past 2 month, and while I love Mizon product, this one will be given away. The color is cute and can be used to create a natural blush. The packaging is simple and cute which makes for a good gift.

Final Thoughts: There is only one product in this box that I want to try and that is the Migabee Verbena Cream. The Shara Shara primer and the oil cleanser I'm not going to use but unsure what to do with it. The Mizon and Original Raw blush/lip products will be gifted. Overall, this is not the box for me. Not really any useful stuff. Even though it's cheaper than the Peach and Lily's Seoulcialite box, I'd buy Peach and Lily's over this any day because it's well curated and includes some of my current favorites. Which I've raved about and will be raving about lol.

Until next time and dream big!
