Sephora Favorites Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis Review

Sephora Favorites Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis Review

Hey Dreamers and Creators!

Guess what? It's Friday! Hooray for the weekend that's pretty much here. Today I want to share with you all this wonderful perfume find from Sephora. It's their Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis.

I always love to have a couple of perfumes on hand because I like having choices. As the seasons changes my taste in perfumes can change as well, so having a variety helps. Plus, minis are generally cheaper than full size bottles, they are a great way to try out new perfumes without breaking the bank, and I don't have to worry about not finishing my perfumes before it goes bad. So, it's a win-win in my opinion. Another reason why I love perfume minis is because they come in the same kind of bottle their regular counterparts do. Which means there's no need to sacrifice in terms of looks, especially if they are used as displays on a vanity.

Anyways, let's get to know these perfume minis!

Sephora Favorites Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis

The Bottled Dreams perfume minis set came with 7 minis, a booklet and a scent certificate, all for the price of $58! That is awesome. I get to try 7 different perfumes and decide in the end which I like best and can use that scent certificate to redeem a full size bottle of that perfume. One full size bottle pretty much covers the cost of this entire set. To me, this set totally worth it.

7 Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis

Here are the 7 minis in my Bottled Dreams Perfume Minis set. They look pretty good huh? Despite being small, they each hold a pretty decent amount of perfume. Which is more than enough to test the scents to see whether I like them or not. They are also great for travelling and perfect for people like me who likes to have a variety of perfumes on hand without giving up an arm and a leg for them. The only thing I noticed is that not all of these minis have spray tops. There's only one with a spray top actually. Others either have a small opening that lets the perfume out or it's rollerball top. No biggie for me though.

The 7 minis include:
-Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline
-Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black
-Elizabeth and James Nirvana White
-Escada Joyful
-Fresh Life
-Gucci Guilty
-Lancome La Vie Est Belle

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White and Black

The Elizabeth and James brand was launched by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in 2007. It's a contemporary collections brand. The name of the brand actually came from the Olsen twin's sibiling: Elizabeth and James.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black
This chic perfume has an addictive blend of violet, rich vanilla and sandalwood that creates the perfect balance of masculine and feminine. It's a rich fragrance that's created to capture the mysterious side of romance.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White
A perfume of innocence, this blend is create with peony, muguet and tender musk. It creates a gentle, feminine and sophisticated scent. This floral perfume captures the innocence in modern intimacy.

My Thoughts: Both the Nirvana perfume minis have rollerballs. Unfortunately, my Nirvana Black's rollerball is broken and gets stuck to the lid sometimes. Scent wise, I am leaning towards Nirvana White right now for summer due to its crisp, fresh scent. I can definitely pick out the Peony scent. The sweet floral scent is lovely and perfect for daily wear. I think Nirvana White can be a good spring scent too. When I first read about the Nirvana Black, I thought I wouldn't like it. I'm very picky about my richer scents. Surprisingly though, I actually enjoy it a bit. It's not something I would wear for summer, but I think come late fall and winter, this scent would be perfect! For Nirvana Black, I can pick out the violet mixed with rich vanilla and something else that I just can't put my finger on. However, the mix is good and it definitely leans neutral on the masculine to feminine line.

I also read somewhere that you can either layer or mix the two scents together for something unique. So what I did was I put on some Nirvana Black first and let it sit for a bit. Then I layered on the Nirvana white. The result? When I first layer the scents, I got a hint of citrus and than it became a little muddy. However, as I let it sit together for a bit, the scents mixed well and I started to like the smell more. It's got a hint of Peony mixed with the richness of Nirvana Black and oh I can't wait to wear this for fall!

Bvlgari Omina Crystalline

Bvlgari Omina Crystalline
The creators for this perfume sought inspirations from rare crystals that refract and absorb light which creates an explosion of radiance from it. The Omina Crystalline is designed to reveal that inner sparkle and radiant femininity with its delicate sensuality. It's got a pure blend of bamboo and nashi pear, with lotus blossom following suit and balsa wood.

My Thoughts: The packaging is awesome! But, it's also its downfall in this mini version. When I was opening the Bvlgari Omina Crystalline, I was so afraid to spill the perfume or something. To open the bottle, the top must be pulled off, however, it's pretty stuck at first and I had to wiggle it for a while to get it off. At first sniff, I hated it.  However, after I let the perfume sit for a bit on my wrist, it started to smell a little better. To me, Bvlgari Omina Crystalline's got a fresh, feminine scent, that's soft and sweet. Making it seem like a perfect scent for spring times. I actually couldn't pin point any of the notes specifically. I can pick up the scents of nature that's also very sweet with what seems to be a hint of tea and floral notes of something. I do like the light feminine scent of the perfume, but the hard to open packaging, not so much.

Fresh Life

Fresh Life
Inspired by the ultimate fresh moment, this perfume captures the freshness of a clear blue sky, the sweetness of the morning air, the sparkles of the sun, and the velvety of water. It's a sensual citrus perfume that captures the perfect fresh moment. The fragrance's notes are as follow:
"Earth is my scented bed: Velvet Bergamot, Vanilla Grass, Dreamy Cypress.
Air is infused with a sweetness: Grapefruit, Lilac Leaves, Transparent Magnolia.
Sun is sparkling silk: Silk Amber, Warm Orange.
Tonka Flowers Water is my blue sky: Sweet Cucumber, Sparkling Moss, Morning Dew."

My Thoughts: I have mixed feelings about the Fresh Life perfume. At first spray, I really like the intense freshness of this fragrance, then it turns muddy for an hour or so and I hate the scent during that transition time. After the hour of so transition time, it smells fresh, crisp and light like the spring air when all the flowers begin to bloom; that scent I like. So, you can see my dilemma and why I can't decide whether I want to wear this scent or not. Some parts of the fragrance also smelled like air freshener, like the ones you spray in your house, and to me, that's not really a scent I want to wear. Fresh Life definitely smells fresh and citrus like with hints of sweetness and nature-like scents. Even if I don't decide to wear it, I am sure I can figure out some uses for it.

Escada Joyful

Escada Joyful
A fragrance inspired by the cheer and happiness of receiving a bouquet of flowers. It's got a sparkling and floral like scent to help its wearer experience each day full of joy and happiness. This perfume has a blend of fresh blackcurrant sorbet with spicy floral and pink peony notes plus a drop of honeycomb to add warmth.

My Thoughts: The Escada Joyful bottle actually spilled as I was taking it out. The cap doesn't fully shut tight and I have to keep it standing up at all times. So I won't be able to travel with this one. The Escada Joyful was the first scent I tried. Like the Fresh Life perfume, I have mixed feelings about this one as well. To me, this fragrance was better when I let it sit and air out a bit. The nice floral scents starts to pick up and the spiciness tones down a bit to reveal the fresh blackcurrant scent. I didn't like what it smelled like when I first apply the perfume, but, for me, it gets better over time.

Lancome La vie est belle

Lancome La vie est belle
Inspired by the beauty of life, this perfume captures the modern daring spirit of a modern woman. Blended with iris pallida, patchouli, orange blossom, and jasmine. Creating a sweet and irresistible blend.

My Thoughts: The Lancome La vie est belle is one of the few perfumes in this mini set that I have tried before. So, I already knew how I felt about it. I actually have the body lotion of this scent and I got the lotion instead of the perfume because the lotion scent was not as strong as the perfume scent. Like many other perfumes in this set, I find that I like the Lancome La vie est belle a lot better after I let it sit for a while. It's definitely a floral perfume and I can pick out the jasmine, but not so much of the others. It is sweet and the lighter it gets the more I like it. I think I would like this more as a Fall scent, so it shall be saved for now.

Gucci Guilty

Gucci Guilty
Inspired by the bold, beautiful and indulgence of a woman, this perfume showcases the confidence, brazen and daring edge of sensuality. The fragrance has a blend of mandarin and pink pepper, with peach, lilac, and geranium following suit, and finally end with amber and patchouli.

My Thoughts: The Gucci Guilty is the other perfume I've tried before purchasing this set. This perfume also happens to be my favorite of the set. Generally, I pull towards floral and fruity scents. This perfume embodies both of that but it doesn't end there. It seems spicy yet creamy, but the scent is just so smooth and not overpowering at all. It's not an exciting fragrance, like the kind you wear if you gotta save the world in 5 minutes or something. Rather, it's a scent that's quite elegant and feminine. The Gucci Guilty is good for daily wear and for work. I really like this perfume. It opens nicely and a little spicy, over time it lights to a sweet fruity floral mix with just hint of spice and surprisingly, it lasts pretty long.

Bottled Dreams scent booklet and certificate

My Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Final Thoughts: Scents smell different to people and on people, so what one person likes might not be what another likes. I read a lot about these scents before I made the purchase and while many had negatives to say about some of these scents, I'm glad I made the purchase because I ended up liking a lot of them. Trying out perfumes in a store can become overwhelming, especially if you try like 10 at a time. I think these minis are the perfect way to try perfumes without feeling overwhelming. Also some perfumes might smell amazing on first spritz, however, not so much over time. Having minis means you can try them multiple times to truly discover whether you like them or not. I know I will be purchasing more of Sephora's mini perfume sets in the future. Now I just have to decide which full sized bottle perfume I want.
