Memebox Rave Box Unboxing

Memebox Rave Box Unboxing

Hey Dreamers and Creators!

Any special plans this weekend? I know I will be staying in to watch the Harry Potter marathon! I've already picked out my 8 masks/treatments (1 for each movie~), so I can pamper myself while watching my favorites.

Today I want to share with you guys an unboxing of Memebox's Rave Box. It's a box full of makeup and nail goodies to help one get rave ready in minutes! I did not get this box for a rave or anything like that. I purchased it because it's got a couple of products I want to try. This box actually came unboxed with a couple of twists. Unboxed boxes, or as I'd like to call them, naked boxes, show the products that are included in the boxes on the purchase page. Which means you can see exactly what you would be getting. Now, I mentioned a couple of twists and that is this box comes with a couple of random choices. Which means you could get this or that and you won't know which until you get your box. So, while it's not a complete mystery box, there's still a couple of surprises in there.

If you are new to Memebox, they are a beauty box company based in US, China, and South Korea. They sell non-subscription boxes and Korean beauty products via their online website. They also sell their own line of cosmetics and skin care products as well. If you check my Memebox tag on the blog, you'll see all the Memebox boxes and products I've reviewed.

Anyways, let's get to know the goodies that came in this box!
Botanic Farm Smooth Touch Gel Eyeliner Pink Pearl
Botanic Farm Smooth Touch Gel Eyeliner
0.5g, $13, Pink Pearl

Product Description: Easy to use eyeliner to help brighten and add depth to the eyes. The eyeliner is long-lasing and can be used to subtly define the eyes. It can also be used to highlight the inner corners of the eyes. To use, apply the liner to the inner corners of the eyes and under the inner 1/3 to 2/3 of your lower waterline.

My Thoughts: There were 2 random choices for eyeliner. The Botanic Farm, which is what I got and the other being 3CE's under eye flash in #03 Lovable. I personally wouldn't have mind either. The Botanic Farm one is pink pearl in color. It's really pretty and perfect to highlighting the inner corners of the eyes. I tried out some Botanic Farm products from a Memebox I purchased before and had no idea they made makeup too until this eyeliner. Hopefully I'll like this eyeliner enough to check out their other makeup goodies!

Etude House Play Nail Sticker #09 Kitch Eyes
 Etude House Play Nail Sticker
1 sheet, $4, #09 Kitch Eyes

Product Description: Nail decal stickers that are unique and easy to apply. To use, make sure the nails are clean first. Apply base coat on the nails then apply the nail color of your choice, wait until they are fully dry. Cut out the desired sticker piece with scissors and slowly peel off the front transparent film. Place the printed transparent film on top of the fingernail and press on the sticker to help maximize adherence. Slowly remove the transparent film. Finish off with a transparent top coat for vivid and long-lasting nails.

My Thoughts: There's something creepy looking about nail stickers that looks like eyes. This is probably my least favorite product in the box and I wish it was some other sort of nail stickers instead. I've no idea what I am going to do with these because I am clearly not going to wear them. When I first saw the nail stickers, I thought the creepy eye look seemed familiar. Then I remembered the Get K-Beauty Box I purchased last year was also covered in eyes. Yeah, can't escape them eyes.

Clio Pro Single Shadow P016 Wild Thing

Clio Pro Single Shadow
1.5g, $12, P016 Wild Thing

Product Description: Create a dramatic eye look with Clio's Pro single shadow. The eyeshadow is long-lasting and pigmented as well. To use, take an eyeshadow brush or use the ring finger to apply a moderate amount of the shadow where desired.

My Thoughts: I was happy to find that I don't have something similar to this eyeshadow shade yet. I am naturally drawn towards neutral palettes, so this seemed like the last color I'd purchase myself. However, as I become more interested in makeup, I have a feeling I'll want to play with all the colors I can find. I will probably play around with the color to see what looks I can create with it.
Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick LPK 565

Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick
3.5g, $17, LPK 565

Product Description: A playful and vivid fuchsia pink color lipstick to create the perfect lip look. To use, apply it over the lips and add additional layers for a brighter look.

My Thoughts: This, was one of the reasons I wanted to get this Rave Box in the first place. You might be thinking, it's just a lipstick, what's so special about it? Well, you guys know I like them pretty packaging and this just spoke to me. When I saw it, I knew I'd want it. Did you know that this color LPK 565 is also known as Jessica Pink? As in Jessica who was formerly a SNSD member Jessica. Yeah, I did a little research on this lipstick before I decided to buy it. The color looks so pretty. I'll have to test it out a bit to see if it's long lasting or not, will report back!
Etude House Princess Eyelashes Vol 1

Etude House Princess Eyelashes
1 pair, $4, Vol 01

Product Description: These voluminous handmade lashes will help to fill those sparse eyelashes and make them look fuller. These eyelashes will stay on securely. To use, with tweezers, remove the Princess eyelashes from the packaging. Cut the falsies to fit the length of your eyes as needed. Apply an appropriate amount of glue to the falsies and wait 5 seconds for the glue to dry partially. Attach the falsies as close to the root of your eyelashes as possible. Apply a coat of mascara to make sure your eyelashes stick to the falsies.

My Thoughts: This was another product that came with a random selection of either Vol 01 or Vol 02 eyelashes. I got the Vol 01, although I kind of hoped for Vol 02. However, I think this is okay too. I have been wanting to try out Etude House's eyelashes for some time now. I've read good reviews on them but never got around to trying them. So seeing these in the Rave box gave me another reason to get the box. I don't wear falsies as much as I used to, but you never know when you might need them!
Etude House Play Nail #117 PK024

Etude House Play Nail
8ml, $4, #117 PK024

Product Description: Add texture and color to the nails with Etude House's play nail in #117. It's an adorable pink polish with hearts and more to create a cute nail look. To use, apply base coat first then apply the polish on top. Finish off with a top coat for long-lasting wear.

My Thoughts: This was another product that came with 2 potential random choices. I got the Play Nail in #117 PK024 but there was also the choice in #116. I prayed that I would get #117 because it looks much prettier than #116 and was very happy to find that I did get #117. I have been looking at this polish for a while now, since I've always wanted a polish with hearts in it. I think these look super adorable. This was another reason why I got the Rave box and I know I will be wearing the polish soon!

★     ☆     ★     ☆     ★

Final Thoughts: This turned out to be a box well worth it for me. I know this box has gotten mixed reviews and some people think it's not worth it. However, I really think it depends on what you are looking for. If you are like me and know that you want certain items in this box that might be more expensive to buy else where, like the Banila Co. Glam Muse Luster Lipstick, then this box is definitely worth it. I think this box is pretty well balanced in that it's got a eyeliner (which can during emergencies double as eyeshadow), a dark colored eyeshadow, lipstick (which can during emergencies double as a blush), falsies, nail polish, and nail stickers. These can all be used to create a pretty look. Overall, I am really happy with this box and can't wait to play with my goodies! Except for the nail stickers, anyone know what I should do with them?

Until next time and dream big!
