I'm From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel Review

I'm From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel
Hey Dreamers and Creators!

What is your favorite type of moisturizer for the winter times? As someone with combo to oily skin, I opt for products that are more moisturizing than the ones I used during summer. These could be moisturizers with gel like texture, creams (not super heavy), facial lotions, etc. These moisturizers are great because they are not too thick but still provides the moisture my skin needs. Plus, they are weightless and absorbs easily into the skin.

One of my current favorite moisturizers that I have been using for the past couple of months is this I'm From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel. I've repurchased this moisturizer multiple times now. It's been great for my skin but will it be good for yours? Let's find out!

Water-Gel information
I'm From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel
75g,

Product Description: I'm From Vitamin Tree Water-Gel is a nourishing moisturizer with a gel texture. The Water-Gel contains 72.39% of Vitamin Tree extract (aka Sea Buckthorn ), which is the main ingredient of this product. To support the Vitamin Tree's benefits, the Water-Gel is also formulated with various fruit and herbal ingredients as well. Such as witch hazel, aloe, sea berries, rose of jericho, lotus, and more. The Water-Gel is great for those with sensitive skin as it's free of fragrance, colors, talc, benzophenone, and mineral oils.

To Use: Cleanse and tone the skin first. Use this as the last step of your skincare routine. Apply a generous amount of the water-gel onto your entire face and let it absorb. Tip: the water-gel can also be used as a sleeping mask, just apply a thicker amount at night before you go to sleep.

packaging
Packaging: The Water-Gel comes in a sturdy glass container with a twist-off lid. Its simple and sleek packaging makes it appealing to the eyes. The box packaging comes with a fair amount of information about the product and it shares a little about the vitamin tree as well. (Which I will touch bases on later in this post.) A mini spatula is provided as well.

Scent: There's no added fragrance in this product, however, I can't say it's 100% scentless. I believe the little bit of scent I do pick up is from the ingredients. Most likely it's the main ingredient. In general it has a slight herbal scent mixed with plastic scent. I know that sounds kind of weird but that's the best way I can describe it. The scent does dissipate after application.

Color: The water-gel has no color. Although, it does look a little cloudy.

Texture: Like its name suggests, this moisturizer has a gel consistency. It's not too thick of a gel either, but more of a lighter and watery version.

It comes with a mini spatula.

Michelle's Thoughts: Vitamin Tree wasn't a familiar ingredient name to me until I looked it up. Turns out Vitamin Tree is just another name for Sea Buckthorn. I can see how that sounds more appealing than its original name. Sea Buckthorn is a plant that naturally grows in mountainous regions. The berries are known to be very nutritious, although they are sour, oily, and unpleasant to eat raw. However, there are many ways to eliminate the fruit's sourness and nowadays you can find it as an ingredient in desserts, juices, cosmetic products, and even nutritional supplements. Sea Buckthorn has a high vitamin C content, about 20x richer in vitamin C than oranges. It also has high concentrations of vitamin E (about 5x richer in vitamin E than lemons), vitamin K, and carotenoids. Plus, the fruit contains good amounts of potassium, manganese, and it's rich in plant sterols as well. To make it even better, the fruit contains over 400 kinds of natural nutrients including 9 essential amino acids, minerals, organic acids, etc. It just sounds like a mega nutrient boosting berry doesn't it?

What drew me in to this nutrient boosting moisturizer was its promise to soothe stressed skin caused by skin sensitivities, provide nutrients to the skin, strengthen skin barrier, supply the right amount of moisture to normal to oily skin types, and provide good brightening effects for that natural glow. It sure promises a lot doesn't it? I have come across products that promises a lot but doesn't actually deliver. However, this moisturizer is different. It actually kept its promises and I am very pleased with it. The moisturizer's gel texture is light-weight and melts right into my skin when I apply it. It feels really soothing on the skin and helps to reduce a bit of redness as well. I use this morning & night and it doesn't feel sticky or thick on the skin. On nights when I want a little extra moisture, I apply a thicker amount so it can act as a sleeping mask as well. When I wake up in the morning my skin would be soft, moisturized, and it would have that natural healthy glow.

Water-gel on the back of my hand.

Pros:
-moisturizing
-soothing
-full of nutrients
-brightening
-strengthen skin barrier

Cons:
-although no fragrance is added, the moisturizer does have a light odd scent that might not be suitable for everyone.

Michelle's Rating: ❤ ❤

Final Thoughts: This has been one of my favorite moisturizer for my skin type. Not only does it keep all of its skin care promises, it actually produces noticeable results. Plus, it's loaded with nutrients that provides amazing long term care. I've repurchased this multiple times now and it has been my go to moisturizer for the past 2 winters.

Would I repurchase it in the future? Heck yes! Its got a permanent spot in my skincare routine. Do I think this moisturizer is worth a try? Yes! Especially if you have normal to oily skin that's sensitive. You are going to love this! I highly recommend it.

    1. Hi ^^! For the warmer summer months, it's probably good as a lightweight moisturizer for those with dry skin. However, for the cooler months (depending on how cold it gets for you in the winter time), it might not be moisturizing enough for dry skin types.
