Review: Lassie'el Aloe Soothing Yogurt Massage Mask

Hello Gorgeous!

Don't you love trying out new products? I sure do! The discoveries, experiments and trying out new beauty products can be so fun and exciting. Especially, if they end up doing wonders to your skin! While some of the beauty products I try make the cut and gets added to my skincare routine, others might not because it's either not compatible with my skin or not to my preference. Whatever the case might be, it's still a lot of fun to try out new products. (And if you are like me, a sucker for cute packaging, chances are you got the product for its packaging and not what it contains.)

While most of the time I know exactly what beauty products I want to buy/try, there are days when I make a couple of spontaneous buys. The Lassie'el Aloe Soothing Yogurt Massage Mask was one of them. I purchased this along with 4 other Lassie'el mask packs (plus other goodies) in my WishTrend order. I have been loving this Aloe massage mask for the past month and am so happy this landed in my love pile. It has also been added to my skin care routine. Keep reading to find out why I love this Aloe Massage Pack so much.

Ingredients List
Lassie'el Aloe Soothing Yogurt Massage Mask
12g, 4 packs plus lid, $3.60

Product Description: A highly concentrated and nourishing massage mask with a wash off formula. It will deliver rich nutrients to the skin from the highly concentrated yogurt formula with various extracts such as vitamin E, mannan and aloe extracts. This wash off mask aims to soothe, hydrate, and add elasticity to the skin. It can also exfoliate the skin and melt away impurities in the pores to provide brighter and more vibrant skin. Aside from preventing acne, aloe is also great for preventing age spots and inhibiting melanin pigments on the skin. It also works to proliferate collagen, brighten the skin, enhance skin elasticity and supply moisture. To use, apply the yogurt mask on clean and toned face. Gently massage the formula until all the "beads" have dissolved. Leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water. If there are unfinished product left in the container, cover with the lid provided and store in the fridge. Use the rest as soon as possible.

My Rating: ❤ ❤

My Thoughts: I love this wash off mask ever since I first tried it (which is over a month ago ^^). It's great for its price and 1 package lasts about 3 to 4 uses, so the entire 4 pack will last about 16 uses. That is really good for roughly $4. I especially love the lid that it comes with to keep unfinished products sealed and fresh for future uses. I generally do the mask in the shower on days when I also use my hair treatments. So I don't actually tone my skin before using it. However, I find that it works the same whether you use toner before it or not. I also don't refrigerate the product once it's open, instead I just store it in a dry and cool area.

The only thing that might be a bit confusing about this product is its scent. You might be thinking, 'oh no, does it have a strong aloe smell?' The answer would be no. Actually, it doesn't smell like aloe to me at all. Which totally threw me off the first time I tried it. In fact, I kept smelling it for so long just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Even my mom agrees, it doesn't smell like aloe. (P.S. my mom also love these yogurt massage masks and she'll be sharing her thoughts on one of them soon!)

Anyways, can you guess what it smells like? I'll give you 3 tries.

No? Still don't know? It smells like grapes. GRAPES, I tell ya, madness. (Kudos if you guessed it because I never would have.) Now you can see why it might be confusing. An aloe product that smells like grapes. O.o  However, to be honest, I think I like the grape smell much better than the could be aloe smell. I can be really picky with aloe scents. Some can be really strong and overwhelming (these are the ones I don't like) and other can be light and fresh (these are the scents I like). So, in a way, I am glad it smells like grapes.
product formula is light mint green in color and comes with a lid

Moving on from the unusual scent, here's what the product looks like on the inside. It's got a really light mint color that's more white than mint. The product is actually full when you first open it, but here I've already used it twice, so it looks half empty. In this picture, you can also see the lid that comes with the product. It fits perfectly and I can reuse it for other small mask packs (as long as it's smaller than the lid anyways). I use one of my spare, small spatula to take out the products, since it didn't come with a spatula. I generally don't like sticking fingers into products and with so many spare spatulas, most of the time I don't have to.
scooped out product on the back of my hand
Here's what the product looks like once I've scooped it out. You can see in the picture below that there are small, white 'beads' in it. The white 'beads' will be mixed into the formula once you gently massage the formula on the skin for over 30 seconds. This wash off mask can be left on the skin for 5 to 10 minutes. I sometimes leave it on for less than 10 minutes and other times longer than 10 minutes, depending on the types of hair treatment I use that day. However, I've never left it on for over 20 minutes and I don't think it should be left on for the long either.

Final Thoughts: If I haven't said it enough by now, I will say it again. I love this mask! Seriously, so worth its price and I'm so glad I purchased it to try it. It's not something super amazing and won't make it into my holy grail list either, however, for its price, it is a pretty good product. This is a great cheap alternative for Cure Natural Aqua Gel. Would I purchase it again in the future? Most definitely! Although, the issue becomes where to purchase this product aside from ebay, as WishTrend no longer sells these. WishTrend currently has these on sale! They also have the Kiwi, Raspberry, and Soothing ones on sale as well. Hopefully, I'll be able to find other sites that sells this product, and when I do I will share it with you all. I definitely recommend giving this product a try! You never know, you might just love it like I do.

Have you tried this massage mask before? What are your thoughts on it?
