Differences between the Choosy lip masks: The differences between the Choosy lip masks might look subtle but it's actually quite noticeable. If you compare the ingredient lists you'll see that they contain some different extracts and ingredients. The baseline ingredients are the same though. I've highlighted the ingredients that are unique to the Purple Pearl lip masks and I've also gone back to the Pink Pearl review to highlight the ingredients that are unique to the Pink Pearl lip masks as well. In future Choosy lip mask reviews, I will also highlight the unique ingredients too.

Packaging: The Purple Pearl lip masks is packaged the same as all other lip masks with the exception that purple is the dominate color. Like all Choosy lip masks, this one comes with a plastic protective layer and sandwiched between a plastic folder like sheets. The plastic sheets are used to keep the mask in shape and retain its essences.

Scent: The Purple Pearl Choosy lip masks smells like roses. Which is probably due to its rose water ingredients. It's a very pleasant and light smell.

Unfortunately, it does not taste like roses, and I'd recommend not licking your lips after using this mask.

Color: The lip mask itself has a light purple color to it. It's got a pearl sheen and almost more pink than purple looking.

Texture: Similar to most hydro gel masks.

Before
My Thoughts: Here's my before picture. It's a little hard to see but my lips were chapped and dry. I did not use a lip scrub this time because I wanted to try the mask without it to see how it works. I did clean my lips with water before I applied the mask.

You can barely see it, but I have the mask on here in the picture above. The mask is pretty large actually, it is one size fits all. There's not a lot of excess essence on the mask. No dripping or anything like that. I find that the best way to apply the mask is to center the lip mask first and apply it from bottom up. It'll fit nicely over the lips with no air bubbles. I usually leave my lip masks on for 30 minutes. Some times, I'll leave it on for up to 90 minutes. Crazy I know, but it doesn't irritate my lips and also add plumping effects.

The mask was able to moisturize my lips and soften my lips. The chapped skin on my lips became really easy to remove. In fact, I was able to remove them with just a tissue paper after taking the mask off. I think I like the 'mask first than remove chapped skin' method better as it is easier and less work for me. Since I only left the mask on for 30 minutes, I didn't see much plumping effects. I did notice that the longer I leave the mask on the more plumping effects it has on my lips. The plumping effects are never too overwhelming, but just enough that it's a little noticeable.

Pros:
-moisturizes
-softens lips
-pleasant light rose scent
-fits well
-affordable

Cons:
-taste horrible, not recommended to lick your lips after use

The lip mask after I took it off my lips. You can see it's formed to the shape of my lips and after use it becomes thinner.

My Rating: ❤ ❤

Final Thoughts: I am fairly happy with the lip mask. Minus the non-plumping and horrible taste, this Purple Pearl Choosy Lip mask was able to moisturize and soften my lips. Leaving it nice and smooth and no longer chapped or dried. It is super affordable, which is nice as well. The Choosy lip mask's moisturizing effects can last up to one week with proper care of the lips after each use. So generally, I use one mask per week. Would I purchase this again? That's yet to be decided. I want to try out all the Choosy lip masks before deciding which ones I will want to repurchase.

Have you tried these Choosy lip masks before? Would you like to try them?

Until next time~
