Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist Review

Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist Review
Hey Dreamers and Creators!

Have you tried a facial mist yet? I never thought much about mists until I gave them a try. Boy oh boy was I missing out. Before I tried them out, I thought they'd be a hassle to use and might not even do any good. However, now they are practically part of my daily routine and they are such little helpers (as I like to call them,) for the skin.

My first mist was actually a mask and it wasn't that great at all. However, I also had a small trial bottle of this Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly mist, so I tried it out. As you can see, I ended up getting the full size bottle. (I bought 2 full size mists actually.) I have been using this for a couple of month now, while trying out other mists in my stash. I can honestly say this is a favorite and it's got a super awesome price to boot! Read on to learn more about this Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist.

ingredient list and other information

Packaging: Following the Canola Honey theme, the colors of this product is that of a golden yellowy honey. I like that the box packaging came with English descriptions, directions, ingredients, and other information. As with most Innisfree products, the box packaging is made with environmental friendly materials and printed with soy ink.

Scent: The scent of this mist was one of the things that won me over. It smells like sweet honey. Light and fresh, not overwhelming at all.

Texture: Inside the bottle the mist has a jelly-like texture like its name. However, once sprayed out, it becomes more liquidy, kind of like an essence.

Color: The mist is opaque and pretty much clear with no color.

My Thoughts: I didn't think I would love this mist as much as I do now. It's one of the first mists I've tried and so far my favorite for this season (and probably will be for winter and spring as well). I used the Aloe mist from Innisfree more during the summer time as it was better for my skin than this one. However, now that it's fall, this Canola Honey mist works better for my skin in terms of adding moisture.

What I like the most about this Canola Honey mist is the instant moisture it adds to my skin once I spray it on. It's very refreshing and feels really nice on the skin. The spray is not super fine but still on the fine side. So I don't have to worry about patting in the mist after I spray it on. It is, however, not always the best for over the makeup uses, at least not for me. Because of the not super fine spray, sometimes when I apply the mist over makeup it can be harder for it to absorb and can sometimes mess up the makeup. It doesn't always happen, but I haven't figured out a way to completely avoid this. Anyone has any tips? Aside from that, it absorbs nicely when not used over makeup and doesn't leave any sticky residue. I also like that the mist provides a calming effect on the skin. It feels rather soothing and relaxing. I apply the mist whenever I feel like my skin needs a moisture boost or when my skin needs a little pick-me-up.

The mist can leave the skin looking a bit glowy at first. However, that mostly goes away after 10 minutes. I really don't mind the glowy look, but I thought I'd point it out since some might not like it. Anyways, did I mention this smells great? Love the scent lots! It smells like delectable honey. The scent slowly lightens overtime, although, it isn't too strong to begin with. The mist is also worth its inexpensive price. It's a steal!

Pros:
-moisturizes
-soothe and calms skin
-absorbs easily
-smells amazing
-inexpensive

Cons:
-not a super fine spray
-might not be best to use over makeup

My Rating: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Final Thoughts: Am I glad I gave mists a try or what. There's a whole new world out here for these babies and they are about as popular as masks. The Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist is a great starting choice and I really like it. I use it everyday and it's become routine for me. My 2 small cons for this mist is that the spray is not super fine and it's not always a great choice to use it over makeup. However, I still like it lots because it soothes and calms my skin whenever I use it.

Would I repurchase this in the future? Possibly. I do have another bottle of this so it'll be a while before I need to purchase more. If I don't find a mist better than this one, I'll probably come back to this. Do I think this is worth a try? That depends. If you are new to mists in general and is looking for an inexpensive yet effect mist to try, than this is a good choice. If you are only looking for super fine mists that can be used over makeup with no (potential) issues at all, this might not be the best choice. However, I think, if you are looking to try out Innisfree's mists, this is a wonderful choice.

  1. Just wondering: do you think this could be used in the serum step of the routine?

    1. Personally, I would not use this as a serum. While its consistency is like that of an essence, it's still on the thin side. Skincare products are generally applied thinnest to thickest in terms of consistency. If your essence is thicker than this mist, then theoretically, it would not work. If it's thinner, it might. While this mist is great, it's not meant to function as a serum and thus might not be able to provide the same kind of benefits a serum can provide. Another thing to note is that skincare is very YMMV (your mileage might vary), so it could work for some people while not for others.
